This series contains awards and certificates, clippings, obituaries, curriculum vitae, memorabilia, photographs, cards, and correspondence. It primarily contains clippings that document the life and work of Niering and awards for his many achievements both at Connecticut College and for state and national organizations. Also included are personal notes from Nierings children and memorabilia he collected during his time in service in World War II.
