Scope and Contents
This series contains textiles related to Connecticut College dating from the 1920s to the early 2000s. This includes student clothing, athletic uniforms, banners, and flags from the early days of the college. Also contained in this series are shirts, jackets, sweaters and hats that document various eras of Connecticut College history. Of special note, are two sets of farmerettes uniforms worn by Connecticut College students.The Farmerettes were a volunter organization that brought women to farms to help with farm labor during the World Wars. Connecticut College students participated in this program working on a local farms in the area and on Long Island.
