NH-NY, 1957 - 2006
Scope and Contents
This subseries documents TNC projects organized by geographic location. These materials document projects that Goodwin was associated with in some capacity: either as a trustee, liaison for the Nature Conservancy, or as a general interest. Particularly rich are folders on the following geographic locations: California, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, and Panama. A bulk of the materials are related to significant projects like the creation, development, and maintenance of the Nature Conservancy’s first property in California, the Northern California Coast Range Preserve (renamed the Angelo Coast Range Preserve (boxes 11-12); the Chocorua Lake Conservation Foundation and Louis Cabot Preserve in New Hampshire (boxes 15-16); and significant projects in New York including Goodwin’s first preservation project, Bergen Swap, and the Nature Conservancy’s first property, Mianus River Gorge (boxes 16-17).
