William Williams to Elizabeth Hoyt Williams, 1885
Contents
This series consists primarily of letters written to and from various Williams family members while living in Europe, describing their activities and travels. There is also a telegram exchange between Mary Williams and William Crozier setting a date for their marriage. Of particular interest are two 1900 letters from William Williams to Mary giving his first-hand account of the Battle of Peking and the armed forces entrance into the Forbidden City.
