Series II: Rufus and Alice Reading correspondence, 1917-1924
Contents
This series primarily contains letters written by Alice Reading to Mary Crozier, while her husband Rufus was Viceroy of India. Other correspondents include Rufus Reading, their daughter-in-law Eva Erleigh, Alice's personal secretary Yvonne FitzRoy, and Viceroy Reading's secretary Geoffrey de Montmorency. In addition to the correspondence, the series includes invitations, itineraries, and logistical documents pertaining to official visits in which the Croziers accompanied the Readings to various parts of India.
