An artificial collection of correspondence, clippings, press coverage, and photographs documenting campus activism over a 30 year period (1962-1992), including Civil Rights era activities, two peaceful sit-ins of Fanning Hall in 1971 and 1986, and campus divestment in South Africa in the 1980s.

Acquisitions Information

Presumably gathered in part by Gertrude Noyes in preparation for her manuscript, A History of Connecticut College; additional contributions gathered by the College Archivist in the early 1990s. Material on divestment in South Africa presumably transferred by Judith Kirmmse, date unknown.
