Biographical / Historical

The Center for the Critical Study of Race and Ethnicity (CCSRE), formerly the Center for the Comparative Study of Race and Ethnicity, was established in 2005 out of the Presidential Commission on a Pluralistic Community. Professor of Religious Studies David Kim was the first director, and later within the period covered by the collection, Sufia Uddin and David Canton.
