Jack writes about a worktrip to Bataria (via a train), playing golf, travelling to Lembank [Lembang], weather/rain/monsoons, gender inequality, indigenous clothing reflecting status and occupation, his work for Baldwin, and travel plans for work and pleasure. Racist stereotype (regarding literacy) and racist term for black people both used in racist description (regarding clothing) and racist terminology of Indonesian people. The description of the Dutch people relates to his co-workers. Photo related to addendum in which Jack suggests that if one or two of caddies were killed, they would not be missed.
