Scope and Contents

This series contains information on the twenty-five land tracts acquired to create the Burnham Brook Preserve from 1960 to 2000s. Richard Goodwin kept extensive records documenting the accumulation of properties for the preserve. These folders document conversations he had with property owners about acquiring pieces of the property for the preserve. It also includes some external reports assessing the value of the lands and land surveys of the following parcels: 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 15, 17, and 20a. Also included are correspondence kept between Goodwin and people whose properties were adjacent to Burnham Brook.
