Administrative History
The first members of the Connecticut College Board of Trustees was comprised of many of the College's first distinguished incorporators. The first meeting of the Board of Trustees took place on May 1, 1911 in New Haven, Connecticut. The Board has the responsibility of caring for and controlling the management of funds and property of the College, as well as the general management of the College's affairs. The number of trustees at any given time can not exceed 24 members or fall below twelve, with selections and terms of service governed by the by-laws of the College. The Board meets five times a year, with additional meetings called as needed.
